Keong Saik Bakery was founded in 2017, with its first store in a shophouse along the famed Keong Saik Road.
Passionate about blending traditional and modern flavours, the bakery pays homage to the vibrant history of Singapore, and the legacy of people that lived at Keong Saik Road.
Inspired by Cantonese opera and the resilient Shunde women, known as Majie, the founder created the Sor Hei bun (梳起 in Cantonese). This pastry celebrates their elegant hair buns, symbolising their vow of celibacy.
Our flagship store now stands at Luzerne Building, with other outlets and pop-ups island-wide.
