Giving to the Food Bank Singapore goes towards the beneficiaries of our feeding partners as well as keep our operations going. 1 in 10 Singaporeans face food insecurity and are unable to afford their basic three meals at any point in their lives.
How your funds help to end food insecurity
With just 100 SGD a month, we can offer freedom of choice to our beneficiaries through our Bank Card Programme. The ability to choose groceries based on their household needs, cultures and preferences.
Because of our industry partnerships, we are able to negotiate better prices and buy MORE food using your monetary donations.
During food drives we often receive spoiled or open food items. Sieving out and disposing of expired products further escalates our costs.
Monetary donations save us logistics costs such as admin work, transportation, warehouse space, volunteers and sort team (all of which are critical for food drives).
The Food Bank Singapore is is an approved Institution of a Public Character (IPC). All donations made to FBSG are entitled to 2.5 times tax deductions in Singapore.
